Alabama Salesperson Post-License 30-Hour Course
Prerequisites: Alabama Real Estate Salesperson Pre-license. Requirement: Must be taken within first 6 months of licensure (AREC requirement)
The Alabama Real Estate Post-Licensing Course is a 30-hour mandatory program designed for newly licensed real estate salespersons in Alabama. This course builds upon pre-licensing knowledge, providing advanced instruction in practical real estate practice, risk management, ethical standards, agency relationships, and regulatory compliance. Students will leave the course with the knowledge and confidence to perform competently and compliantly in their first year of real estate practice.

Alabama Broker Pre-License 60-Hour Course
Prerequisites: Must have held an active real estate salesperson license in any state for at least 24 months of the 36 month period immediately preceding the date of application (AREC requirement).
This 60-hour Alabama Broker Pre-License course prepares licensed salespersons to meet the education requirements for obtaining an Alabama real estate broker license. The course emphasizes not only advanced real estate practices, legal responsibilities, brokerage management, finance, ethics, and transactions, but also integrates real-world scenarios to provide practical, hands-on learning experiences. Students will engage in case studies, problem-solving exercises, and applied projects that foster the use of knowledge with critical thinking skills, preparing them to navigate complex brokerage situations confidently. Alabama Reciprocal License 6-Hour Course
Prerequisites: Submit with the application an official "Certificate of Licensure" form (license history) showing you hold a current license in another state. (AREC requirement).
The Alabama Reciprocal Real Estate License Course is a 6-hour, AREC-approved program designed for licensed real estate professionals from qualifying states seeking to obtain an Alabama real estate license through reciprocity. This course provides a focused overview of Alabama-specific real estate laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and ethical obligations. Students will gain practical knowledge of agency relationships, trust fund handling, record-keeping, and transaction procedures under Alabama law. Through
real-world scenarios, interactive discussions, and exam-focused review, participants will be fully prepared to comply with Alabama regulations and successfully complete the Alabama portion of the reciprocal licensing exam.

Persons who plan to apply for an Alabama reciprocal license: they must obtain Official Certification of Licensure (license history) from their qualifying state — issued within 120 days prior to AREC receipt of application.
